Crazy Hair!

I love being able to stay home and do silly things like 

stay in my pajamas all day with my boy and hide under a blanket just so that we can make CRAZY HAIR!

A Big, Big Day

Most of Doodle's bedtime prayers include this statement, 

"Thank you God for this big, big day."

Valentine's Day 2013 was no exception.

We told him we were taking him to see a surprise.

He was more than excited for his "puhprise".

He had no idea we were taking him to the 

2013 National Farm Machinery Show!

Upon arriving we surprisingly ran into friends 

(The Webbs, The Ballards, and The Quires) who are 

mommies of tractor lovers/farmer wives/families we love!

(The sweet girl in red and the middle John Deere apparel model are  both farmers in training :]

We quickly lost our friends as Doodle found it extremely difficult to tear himself away from doing this:

ALL.

DAY.

(This one is especially for you 'Uncle Cott'!)

LONG.

Yes, Doodle Bug,

It was a BIG, BIG day indeed.

Happy Birthday!

Doodle Turns 3!!!

The day started out sounding like this:

(gasp) "Balloons. Balloons. Balloons fall on my head."

We could hear the smile on your face.

You climbed in our bed, as you do every morning upon waking, and stated matter-of-factly, "Mommy and Daddy be sneaky."

Who wouldn't love waking up to a cascading avalanche of birthday balloons?!

After some morning snuggles, we went to the living room to start a fire in the fireplace so you could open your birthday presents from Mommy and Daddy!

  

 You have recently started showing a real interest in Play-Doh so Play-Doh tools were the perfect gift for you this year! 

After Daddy went to work, you and Mommy played Play-Doh for an hour and a half; We had so much fun we forgot to eat lunch!

After lunch (finally) and a nap on your part, it was time to PAR-TAY!

This year, we threw a John Deere tractor pool party.

Nothing else could suit you better.

 

So many friends and family came to celebrate your 3rd birthday!

Always remember it is a blessing to be so loved, Doodle Bug.
